In 1995 there were just 4 - Misty, Smurphy, Charlie & Kiri!
My name is Jenny Wysocki and I live in a small village in Suffolk, England with my 3 grown up children, Katherine, Mark and Daniel. It was from their names that I formed my Affix.
I was 11 years old when I had my first Border Collie. She was a working sheepdog really as this was before they were recognised by the Kennel Club. Like many children of the time I was hooked on the Lassie Come Home stories shown on TV and was determined to have my very own Lassie. Unable to find a Rough Collie I was taken to see a litter of Border Collies. In the litter there were black and white puppies and 'Lassie' coloured puppies and you can guess which one I chose. I desperately wanted to take my Lassie home there and then but the puppies were only 4 weeks old so I had 3 long weeks to wait. However, 2 weeks later we received a call from the breeder saying we could collect Lassie a week early. I will never forget our first car ride together. Lassie snuggled up inside my coat and was promptly sick all over me! So started a beautiful friendship.
Lassie and I spent hours together walking and training in the fields near our home. When she was 6 months old we were allowed to join obedience classes. She was such an easy dog to train and together we took part in many inter-club competitions always coming away with a place, often a first or second. The years passed and when I married and left home Lassie stayed with my parents. Apart from having a Cocker Spaniel for a short time (I had an allergy to her and she went to live with my parents) I had to be content with cats for company for the next 20 years.
Thirteen years ago I decided it was time I had another Border Collie and in September 1994 Kiri (Jephanil Eye Catcher of Kamarda) came into my life. She has an awful lot to answer for!
In 2002 my husband passed away and later that year the first Miniature Poodle arrived to bring some joy back into my life. There are now 2nd generation Kamarda Miniature Poodles in residence who keep everyone else in line.
2005 saw the arrival of my long awaited Polish Lowland Sheepdogs Tomek & Kasia. Unfortunately things didn't go as I had hoped and Tomek, though no fault of his own, was rehomed to a lovely family and now has his own cat. Wisnia joined us in 2006 and Lutek in 2008. Kasia went to join her new family in the Summer of 2008.
